Batman Group April 2018 Solicitations

DC has a weird month. So they do things like big teams leave books (like Wonder Woman) and they're just replaced by creative teams with zero promotion and little fanfare... I had pretty much zero idea James Robinson was writing that book for a while. Seems like they're doing the same thing with Green Arrow. Then there's stuff like Tony Daniel is being replaced after three issues of Damage, which sure, we knew that'd happen with the NAoH books, but instead of getting a head for a couple more issues of the series of the character he co created which is the whole point about the initiative... he's drawing a Batman arc... Where's David Finch? Also, two issues of Nightwing this month, two different creative teams, none of which are the main one?

Also, like I guessed, Deathstroke vs. Batman is indeed an arc in the regular Deathstroke book... but it's also about Damian Wayne's paternity... so wtf.

Fucking strange month, that's for sure... I mean, Tom King's next arc is a fucking Booster Gold arc... what?

  1. RE: It being a weird month - Titans, JL, JLA, WW, and Superman are all ending their current story arcs and Trinity is ending. I wouldn't be shocked at all if there is some deck shuffling (some of it Bendis related?) coming in May for at least some of those titles.

  2. DC needs to cancel the Batgirl comic and the Birds of Prey comic those books are terrible and the sales are bad.

  3. Booster's been getting around. I think Jurgens is champing at the bit to get him a new solo, so maybe King's doing him a solid.
