SPOILERS: Nightwing #30

The enemy of Dick's enemy is probably still an enemy, so things are sure to go well, huh?

The Spoilers:

Things are going... well, they're going in Bludhaven, not bad, not good. Blockbuster has to assert his reign as the crimelord of Bludhaven, promising things will be back on track once Nightwing is gone, and Nightwing is busy busting Kobra dudes at a fund raiser for a rich unpopular politician. Oh hey, here's Raptor, he tries to kill the politician, is unsuccessful, and puts the life of a civilian in danger so Nightwing has to let him escape.

So Raptor is bad, and so is the politician who promises to cut down on programs that "facilitate" these kind of people in Bludhaven, like the program all the Run-Offs belong to. With Helena's advice, Dick aims to cut off Raptor before he becomes a problem, but he's not going to get any help from his "friend" on the BPD, who says IA is coming down hard on everyone. Meanwhile, he tries to ask the Run-Offs to be his eyes in the street, but none of them are too pleased to see him.

So, Dick's last option is to ask Blockbuster for help, and if he helps him get rid of Raptor, he'll leave Bludhaven forever.

The Opinion:

Nice set up for the arc issue, that's what I'd call it. Got it's point across nice and easy. Though knowing that there's a creative switch on the horizon, I feel like everything in this arc is bound to wrap up in ways that aren't great for Dick, cleaning the slate for Sam Humphries to take over. So until then, I'm just going to have some hanging dread of "oh, man, when is the shit going to hit the fan?"
