Looking Forward: February 26th, 2014

So, some announcements in regards to books and this site, but let's get to what I'm covering next week.
  • Batman/Superman #8: First part of the delayed First Contact crossover, and Jae Lee returns to the artistic duties.
  • Talon #16: I like Tim Seeley, I like Lord Death Man, these final two issues seem to be right up my alley... and with some heavy hints towards big changes coming to Catwoman soon, I might be pushing Seeley for Catwoman 2014 again, real soon... But I don't know if I can take another broken heart.
So, announcements... Batman/Superman Annual has been delayed again, and will now be released on 3/5. God knows who actually drew that book now. I also don't know how I'm going to cover this Batman/Superman and Worlds' Finest crossover, because I have no interest in buying WF... Uuuuh... Next, you may notice I will not be covering The Dark Knight #28 next week, and that's because... Well, not even Batman is immune to my "Do I really care about this book?" purge I've been going through lately. It's just been a flat book for me these last few months, and I don't have any interest in yet another Man-Bat story, especially since we've gotten so much Man-Bat recently. So that's that.

With that... SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GOTHAM SPOILERS BY BUYING COMIC STUFF THROUGH MY TFAW.COM LINKS. Look at the fancy new Batman: Eternal banner they just gave me! LOOK AT IT! Then click on it. Then buy shit after you click on it... Because that's how I get paid cash money.

  1. I thought the silent issues of TDK were the best of Hurwitz's run. But, yeah, I've dropped this book for the last two issues too. One thing I noticed and wasn't meant most likely is that Batman has two gauntlet spikes in that arc. So, folks there's your first (and only) Dick Grayson as Batman story of the new 52. Haha

I'm also torn on Bat/Supes. I was gonna drop it because of the last arc being pretty bland, and not wanting to read WF this arc. But, I think I'm going to suck it up because of Lee's art. Probably just torrent WF or something (but probably will buy it, since I'm a succccka).

  2. Dropping TDK with only two issues to go? I was going to drop (whittling down my pull list to prepare for ETERNAL), but with the end in sight, I'm going to tough it out for $6 more. I'm especially curious to see how EVS draws Man-Bat, even if I'm not convinced he's going to finish the arc.

  3. Well, I don't have the full run anyway (didn't get the finch crap), and I don't need another manbat story. Plus, I'm not a big EVS guy. So, it was a no brainer
