Batman, Incorporated Ends in July

Well, unless DC announces some new books soon, the New 52 will become the New 49... just doesn't sound clean. Why? Well, because Batman, Incorporated will be bowing out with it's final issue in July with #13.

Personally, I'm not all that surprised. If you remember, DC letting this book end properly was one of my hopes for 2013. Especially now with the death of Damian, the fact that this book was created with the intention of telling a single large story to bring an end to Morrison's epic, is even more apparent. I have a hard time trying to figure out how, if at all, anyone would even attempt to continue to title after he left writing duties. This book was just too specific of a concept for anyone to just hop on and continue it with the same amount of gravity it held prior.

So, good on DC for not trying to milk the series out, now the only question I have is... what's Chris Burnham drawing next?

  1. Looks like most of your wishes for 2013 have come true then, apart from Catwoman. Although,
I suppose if you're reading JLA then even that has happened. Have to say I agree with most of your former hopes, adding that I really want a different writer to take on Teen Titans. Can that book be saved?

On another note, I've been visiting this site for a bit and enjoy your coverage for the most part. Thanks for sharing/updating.

  2. just give Red Robin his own book again!
