Tony S. Daniel Leaves Detective Comics

After a long run in the Batman corner of the DCU, Tony S. Daniel will be saying goodbye to Gotham with Detective Comics #0, which he'll be providing only art for. He had this to say on his Facebook page, only a few minutes ago:
"My Batman/Detective run is coming to an end. My final written (and drawn) issue is Detective Comics #12. I'll be producing the art only for issue 0. It's been a long and adventurous journey for me, but there are other projects in the pipeline that I've been itching to do and I felt the need to scratch the itch. Next week DC will reveal some information on what one of the projects is I'm involved with. Then I'm gearing up for something I've wanted to do for a while in early 2013, a project where I hope to grow even more as an artist and a professional. It is top secret, and probably won't be revealed until the fall. I want to thank all my friends, family and fans for supporting me through these crazy last few years. Onward and Upward!"
Now, while there were some bright spots here and there, I'm not going to say that I loved every story Tony Daniel wrote, because that would be a lie, but I will say that I know the dude worked his ass off to get where he is, and above all else is a very talented artist, so I can respect that 100%, and wish him luck on whatever his secret project may be.

Now, the question is, who the hell takes over Detective Comics?! No idea. Surprised we haven't heard a rumor from Bleeding Cool yet. I'm guessing since DC is revealing some things next week, that we'll hear then, so until then, your guess is as good as mine. Also, that means there probably will be a new back up feature as well.
