DC Announces Batman Digital

It's C2E2 and DC has announced a new push to their digital only/first comics. In June, joining the likes of Batman: Arkham Unhinged, Batman Beyond, Justice League Beyond and Smallville Season 11, there will two new series, one a manga like series starring many of DC's popular female characters, and the other an out of continuity Batman series that seems like a conceptual cross between Batman Confidential and Black and White.

The series will be released on Thursdays, starting in June, with the first issue being written by Damon Lindelof and illustrated by Jeff Lemire. Other writers and artists to be included on the project are Joshua Hale Fialkov, Nicola Scott, Steve Niles, B. Clay Moore, Ben Templesmith and more.

Can't say I'll be covering this due to the amount of work I already put into the site, as well as my "in continuity only" sort of rules I've set for myself. Nevertheless, pretty cool announcement. Lots of good creators involved, so it should be good.

  1. Huh. Well good for digital. A good way to grow it.

Can't say it'll be a big deal for me unless it hits print later though. I don't partake in digital. So if it doesn't eventually hit trade collections I'll probably never read it.
