SPOILERS: Batman: Lost #1

This issue is the equivalent of looking in the mirror and saying Grant Morrison's name three times.

SPOILERS: Detective Comics #968

If I was James Tynion, I totally would have had a DeLorean Batmobile... then accept my loss of a job as being worth it.

SPOILERS: Batman #34

Talia isn't taking rejection well.

SPOILERS: Batman: White Knight #2

Jack is back and ready to... still do some questionable things?

Nightwing: The New Order #4 Preview

Dick is kind of being a dick, heyooooo.

(Source: Graphic Policy)

Looking Forward: November 22nd, 2017

Yeah, comics are still happening, but I have a feeling there's only going to be one book everyone will want to talk about.
  • Detective Comics #969: Fall of the Batmen, apparently it's a big arc, and I'm inclined to believe so, as they've all been pretty big thus far.
  • Nightwing: The New Order #4: Now to check in with a bunch of familiar faces and see how much they resent Dick Grayson!
So yeah... Doomsday Clock also. Wonder if it'll get sent out tomorrow or that'll be delayed because of spoilers.

Batman #35 Preview

Boy, this is just flat out heartwarming.

(Source: Monkeys Fighting Robots)

Looking Forward: November 15th, 2017

The last issue of a Metal crossover and the final Dark Knight one shot means my schedule will soon be free! Thank god.
  • Batman #35: and Bruce has yet to question his taste in women.
  • Nightwing #33: Enemies fighting more enemies.
  • Batman: The Batman Who Laughs #1: And I thought the Dawnbreaker issue was edgy.
  • Justice League #33: I don't know, Cyborg does a thing I assume.
I'm gonna pass on Batwoman. Got to admit I just don't think the book is very good, thus not worth my time.

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #16 Preview

I wish this book had an artist with more detail and definition... everything looks so blocky.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #16 Preview

Poor Boomerang.

(Source: Graphic Policy)

Looking Forward: November 8th, 2017

Another long week of books next week.
  • Batman: Lost #1: Lots of weird Barbatos mythology in this one.
  • Detective Comics #968: Wrapping up Lonely Place of Living.
  • Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #32: As per tradition, I bet it goes poorly for the Justice League.
  • Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #16: WOOP WOOP.
  • Red Hood and the Outlaws #16: I'm starting to recognize a naming convention for these books... Also, this Bizarro story is going on too long... I might not even do this issue.
And there are just as many books NEXT week too. Uuuugh.

SPOILERS: Batman #34

One of the drawbacks of these issues being released so quickly is forgetting key details that you probably should have remembered.

SPOILERS: Batman: White Knight #2

Joker is cured and he's going to suuuuuuue you.

SPOILERS: Nightwing #32

What better place for a hero and a villain to have a tense conversation than a blackjack table Symbolism!

SPOILERS: Justice League #32

Sooooooo, this crossover may just be people punching each other.

SPOILERS: Batman: The Devastator #1

Batman plus Doomsday equals one Superman hating machine.

Batman: The Devastator #1 Preview

This has nothing to do with anything, but I miss the times when Bruce was a dick, show up to the Daily Planet and be like "Look at me, I'm rich, it makes sense for me to be here! Hi Clark. I'm gonna flirt with Lois now. HAHAHAHA, I'm rich!"

Good times.

Nightwing #32 Preview

I'm going to miss this run on the book, that's for sure.

(Source: ComicsVerse)

Looking Forward: November 1st, 2017

Okay, man... these tie-ins and mini series are killing me. The price of good books, I guess.
  • Batman #34: There's meeting your ex awkward, then there's meeting your ex and her trying to kill you Batman awkward.
  • Nightwing #32: Speaking of exs... well... exs in certain realms of fan fiction.
  • Batman: The Devastator #1: Batman x Doomsday, what could go wrong?
  • Justice League #32: Speaking of going wrong for everyone involved...
  • Batman: White Knight #2: Something something Batman and Joker being exs.
Toooooooo many books.

SPOILERS: Detective Comics #967

SPOILERS: The Flash #33

Remember how the last issue of Metal has the Justice League setting up a plan while things didn't go well for Superman? Well, it didn't go too well for everyone else.

SPOILERS: Batman: The Merciless #1

I feel like at this point I can just skip to the end, because it's like... yeah, Dark Multiverse Bruce and then he came over.

SPOILERS: Nightwing: The New Order #3

The fallout from last issue's events, plus some updated status quos of our favorite Bats.

Nightwing: The New Order #3 Preview

Dick... Choking someone out... I... Hmm, no, I'll leave this one alone.

(Source: Comicosity)

Looking Forward: October 25th, 2017

Okay, in terms of number of books a week, I'd like Metal to end so I can go back to writing up a book a week or something, jeeze.
  • Detective Comics #967: Reunited and it feels so good
  • The Flash #33: First issue of the Justice League vs. Dark Knights crossover that should take us through a month.
  • Batman: The Merciless #1: Batman becomes the God of War, that sounds cool.
  • Nightwing: The New Order #3: Say hello to some old friends by way of Old Man Dick...
So many issues. I'm so bad at reading them in time!

SPOILERS: Batman #33

This arc is going to be like "Meet the Parents" except there are no parents, they're actually meeting ex's and also, international law is being violated in a big way.

SPOILERS: Batman: The Drowned #1

Bruce is Bryce, Selina is Sylvester, Aquaman is Aquawoman... well, we can't all be creative, can we?

SPOILERS: Nightwing #31

Unfortunately, we've hit the point where we know the current writer is leaving soon, so they're trying to wrap things up and bring things full circle, and sometimes it works and other things are just sort of rushed feeling. Ah well.

SPOILERS: Batwoman #8

Big old drug trip issue in a story line I don't particularly like, so this one went by quickly.

Batman Group January 2018 Solicitations

Well these snuck up on me. Was counting the Mondays in this month instead of the Wednesdays. Anyways, Batman and the Signal got pushed back, so that's coming out in January now. Batwoman might have a new creative team, which I'm fine with. Scratch that, single issue thing. More Metal one shots too.

Batman #33 Preview

No, spoilers, but I think this is going to be a good arc.

Batman: The Drowned #1 Preview

So, gender-swapped universes contribute to the Dark Multiverse, and that's why we got Bryce Wayne. Little anti-climactic, but I guess I should have thought of the obvious.

Looking Forward: October 18th, 2017

We get two major status quos next week, one Bruce is about to be a married man, the other... Bruce is an aquatic zombie lady?
  • Batman #33: Bruce and Selina getting married, and it seems people aren't going to be in to that.
  • Batman: The Drowned #1: This has been the one I've been most curious about for obvious reasons.
  • Nightwing #31: Asking an enemy for help against another enemy? Surely this will go well.
  • Batwoman #8: The lost year should have stayed lost, heeeeyoooooo.
Yeah... Aquatic zombie lady Bruce sure is a head-scratcher.

Batwoman #8 Preview

This book has been saved by some great art, that's for sure. So tired of this Lost Year stuff.
