Stack Highlights: 03/26/2017

Welcome to Stack Highlights, it's like Stack Rundown but with a fraction of the effort!

SPOILERS: Detective Comics #953

And the mother of year award goes to... literally anyone but Lady Shiva

SPOILERS: Mother Panic #5

Lots of style, just need a little more easily discernible substance for my tastes.

SPOILERS: Batman #19

Man this book has been so good for the last couple months, so good!

SPOILERS: All-Star Batman #8

I'm not sure exactly why most of this issue happens, but it sure is cool.

SPOILERS: Harley Quinn #2

How does Harley survive a hotdog zombie apocalypse? Probably exactly how you'd expect: Violence, lots of violence.

The Spoilers:

To be perfectly honest, it's not like this issue had some detailed in depth plot to write up, as usual... and why I didn't feel a rush to get it done yesterday. Harley and her pals have to make their way through zombie Coney Island, and eventually get themselves corned, in true zombie movie fashion, only to be saved by Poison Ivy and a heavy duty weed-wacker, as you'd expect by the cover of next issue.

The Opinion:

Do you like when issues of Harley Quinn are over the top with cartoony violence? Because that's pretty much this issue page to page. It's fun and dumb, what you'd expect from an issue of Harley + Zombies. Art is a bit of a mixed bag, both Chad Hardin and John Timms work 50/50 on the issue, but they're working off of Bret Blevins' layouts, so neither Hardin or Timms' work looks entirely their own. Other than that, goofy fun issue, not much more to say about that.
