Stack Rundown, 07/03/2016

Here I am, hungover and forgetting that I had to do this post. To be fair, I literally only read one comic this week. BOO 5th weeks. I feel like DC definitely shouldn't have skipped Rebirth and just saved this week for some more one-shots. Keep that train rolling!

Dark Knight III: The Master Race #5

And here I was just all happy Superman was dead. But no. Fucking Aquaman needs to come up and just bring him back because reasons. This book remains on weird footing with me. I like it, it’s fun, looks good… but it just barely seems to have anything to do with Batman. Sure, DKSA went into the Miller DCUverse way more and this is just continuing that trend, but it just creates a weird dynamic. Batman will have a good scene or say one cool thing, but then he’s just barely in the rest of the issue. Like, yeah, cool… Batman made it rain fucking synthetic kryptonite… but that was like the one thing of the issue he did while the rest of it is focused elsewhere. I don’t know… If they want to do a elseworld with Miller’s stuff, go ahead, I just wish this was way more Batman focused than it is.
