SPOILERS: Batgirl #52

Batgirl says goodbye to Gotham as she hits the road for her new series... except her other series where she is in Gotham with the Birds of Prey, but you know... comics and all that.

The Spoilers:

To be perfectly honest, this was a really cut and dry book. Gladius steals the negahedron core and then the plans, getting away from Batgirl and her allies each time... until she doesn't. Get's caught, sent to jail, Babs' office has a going away party for her, and then she leaves for the airport promising to return.

This book kind of ended at #50, these past two issues just felt like a way to get the book to #52 due to DC's hard-on for the number. As a final issue, it just feels like a tagged on sort of thing when the creative team that did so much work to revitalize this book said everything they needed to say with #50. On top of that, Gladius is pretty much the least interesting rogue to come out of this run, in both design and gimmick, just kind of generic and not memorable at all. So I don't know... I loved this run, just didn't need these last two issues.
