SPOILERS: We Are Robin #7

The Court of Owls have revealed themselves to the Robins and what is it that they want? Who knows? I mean really... that's not a pun. Who? We don't seem any closer to learning.

The Spoilers:

So as you can see in the preview, Dick and Jim figure out that Noctua is working for the Owls, who have all the Robins captured.

So in that prison, the Owls want they're Gray Son... but instead of going after Dick, they decide to have Tim and Jason fight to the death and whoever wins is the new heir or something? I'm not sure how that works... But anyways Tim and Jason just use it as a way to break everyone out, and then they fight some owls, only to be met by the apparent Talon A squad on the roof when they try to escape.

END.

The Opinion:

Man this story is super slow and really shallow. Nothing notable really happens in this issue. There's what we saw in the preview and then there's what I summed up in what could have been two or so tweets. The content here is just super thin and it's disappointing me in a really bad way. I have a feeling we're just going to be left with a whole bunch of exposition saved for the last issue, which is shit that just bugs the hell out of me.

On a positive note, Carmine Di Giandomenico provided the art for this issue, and having not been familiarized with his work prior, I found it to be pretty good, which is saying something since usually when DC has unannounced fill in, it's usually like C-tier guys who either jump from one book to another filling in random pages or are left as mop-up on soon to be cancelled titles. So, that was nice. I guess.
