Batgirl #40 Preview

Cyber-Babs goes super crazy this issue, to a level I don't think anyone is really expecting.

    1. Talked about it on Twitter on Saturday or something. I think it's a tone-deaf move due to all the steps forward DC has been making lately. No problems with the Killing Joke as a story, but DC's boner for what that story did to Barbara is fucking weird. In the same sense, we're never going to see a Green Lantern variant with Major Force stuffing a fridge, soooooooo, yeah.

If they want to keep milking it, they could have done a riff on it to have Barbara knocking on the Joker's door, cracking her knuckles or something. Still Killing Joke cover, not tone-deaf.

  2. Going in a direction I wasn't expecting, but considering I saw the Skynet Barbara coming a mile away, I'm okay with being surprised.
