I don't know if you know this, but Batman isn't exactly a happy guy.
New city, same shade of gray... but not for a lack of trying.
Here's an image of Batman looking at a dog. There you go.
2016 takes something else from us, and this time it's Chew.
The gift of Clayface, TAKE IT IN MAAAAAAAAAAN. (reference!)
Gave up on Eternal around issue 30 (after wanting to give up around issues 12-15 -- need to trust my instincts)). Even though it's turning yet another corner, I don't really regret it. I don't like to be negative, but I feel like Eternal's just been a glorified long-form "Gotham has a gang war going on" with a little mystery villain of the month sprinkled on top. There are so many other Batman stories I'd rather read before this. Maybe the last third will change my mind. (That Batman #28 issue with the Spoiler reveal totally oversold how interesting the story would be. Good marketing hype on DC's part. Sucked up a few extra of my dollars that they otherwise wouldn't have gotten.)
