SPOILERS: Batman #9

It's saying something when a LoSH character hanging out in Batman is hardly the most WTF moment of an issue.

SPOILERS: Nightwing #7

The circus is a strange place, evident by the endless Nightwing stories that come from it.

SPOILERS: Forever Evil Aftermath: Batman vs. Bane #1

Forever Evil is over! (sorta) And Gotham is getting back to normal... aside from the fact that Bane still controls it. Alfred sits alone in the Batcave waiting for news, but Titus starts barking... who could it be, I wonder?!

Annnnnd then of course, Batman comes back, starts wiping up the city clean of Scarecrow and the Talons, then he fights Bane,  and wins. The End.

The Good:

Not a whole lot of good! The fight was pretty hard hitting? Other than that... Eh. Bane is characterized well?

The Bad:

Can you tell I wasn't too concerned with adding a lot of detail to my spoilers? Well, that's because it generally wasn't that good, but it also had absolutely nothing to really go into detail about. Batman came back, and he won... there you go. Like the mini-series before it, this one-shot conclusion was just as predictable, if not more. There was no nuance or any real substance to it, and ultimately felt very disappointing. Art seemed pretty inconsistent too, and seemed a lot less defined than what we got in the mini-series.

The Bottom Line:

This one shot brings a disappointing end to a disappointing story. We all knew Batman was going to win even before opening the book, and that's exactly what happens. This title was completely point A to point B, no suspense, no tension, no nothing... other than the general feeling of emptiness.
