Batman and Robin September 2013 Solicitations

As expected, we're getting four issues of Batman and Robin too... which is weird considering there is no Robin. Anyways, Tim Seeley is writing one of these issues, and I want him to write Catwoman, and he responded on twitter that'd he'd love the chance to write her. The DC seal has been broken! No excuse now!

  1. How're they gonna collect these, anyway? With the issue zeros there was still a semblance of cohesiveness with the main books, but how are they gonna collect all these with the numberings being so weird, Tomasi doing like 8 of them, and several non-regular writers are involved? What's more, it seems like several of these are going to tie in to the ongoing stories of the writers titles. I hope they don't force us to buy the omnibus or something.

    1. two trades, each with eight issues, I'd assume. None of these seem to be dependent on any given story, and if they are, they'll probably be included in other trades as well.

  2. I do wonder why they bothered tying them to specific titles rather than having 16 individual issues. Unless every batch of four coheres to tell a single story. And I'm guessing stuff like Zero Year will be put on hold for a month? :/

    1. Because it would be an ordering nightmare for retailers, and cause more work for other publications like Comixology.
