Batwing #15 Preview

I like how the site who was given this preview clearly doesn't give a shit (read the comment thead). Put it up in the middle of the night? Check! Generic "hey look what's happening, apparently" post text? Check! "This suit in Arkham City DLC, please." Because that's current, and kids like the video games, right? Check!

  1. Well, I can see why you'd think that, but to respond to your concerns:

Almost all of our posts go live at midnight, unless they're coming in hot (e.g., if we were going to do a post about the royal pregnancy we'd want to roll it out asap).

As in earlier previews, I kept the description generic, because the bulk of our audience is interested in comics, but not regular readers, so a synopsis explaining Batman Inc. and New 52 would be a little much to throw at them before they get to admiring the preview. Whereas lifelong readers like you and I will read the preview regardless, the idea on MCD is to interest the more casual fans into investing their attention. Also, the way our ads place themselves, too much text in a preview post like this can break the layout.

Now I admit to not having read Batwing myself beyond the first issue, but I stand by that Arkham City request. That suit is awesome. Our photo captions are pithily trite by design, if you check out some other articles. It's a humorous aside, is all.

    TL;DR -- We care.

    Cheers!

    1. Fair enough! I was just being sort of a smart ass, that's my thing. Thanks for being a good sport about it.

  2. And thank YOU for posting it. I'm a big fan of smart-assery myself, so no worries.
