Stack Highlights: 03/26/2017

Welcome to Stack Highlights, it's like Stack Rundown but with a fraction of the effort!

SPOILERS: Detective Comics #953

And the mother of year award goes to... literally anyone but Lady Shiva

SPOILERS: Mother Panic #5

Lots of style, just need a little more easily discernible substance for my tastes.

SPOILERS: Batman #19

Man this book has been so good for the last couple months, so good!

SPOILERS: All-Star Batman #8

I'm not sure exactly why most of this issue happens, but it sure is cool.

Panels of the Week, 08/02/2012

Yeah, I'm still having a hard time coming up with a clever little blurb to put in before the jump... So yeah, pictures?

Note: I edited out some text in that shadow
Detective Comics #12: Say what you will about Tony Daniel's writing (and lord knows, I have) but he's a pretty great artist. This page is just so simple and clean, but it's rather striking as well.

Detective Comics #12: This is actually the first time I've put Tec back up art in these posts... not that I didn't like Szymon Kudranski's art (I do like it), the story just fucking sucked, and I never read it seriously. Regardless, if we want to be technical about things, Detective Comics #12 is the issue where Joker makes his return, and that panel is haunting and creepy.

Batwing #12: Like I said in the spoilers, this issue was just big super hero fun, and there's your example, just big action.

Worlds' Finest #4: If there is one thing I enjoy about this book, it's that Kevin Maguire's art has somewhat of a dry wit to it, which I really appreciate.

Legends of the Dark Knight #9: Classic.
