Catwoman #10 was Guillem March's Final Issue
Well, this sucks. With issue #12 being solicited as Adriana Melo illustrating, as well as Guillem March jumping over to Talon in September, I was hoping we'd get one more issue of Guillem March drawn Catwoman with July's #11. Not going to be the case, as noted in the updated shipping list for retailers, Comiclist.com has listed Adriana Melo as illustrating issue #11. So, say farewell to Guillem March's Catwoman, because this week's issue was the last for the foreseeable future.
Adriana Melo's fill in has been better than the last stuff I read her on (previous volume of Birds of Prey) but nothing compares to March in my mind. Just so highly dynamic, expressive, and stylized, he's one of my favorites, something I've expressed many times. At least this time, we have knowledge of where Guillem March will land next, instead of absolutely no clue, after he inexplicably left Azrael, after putting in some of his best work, in my opinion.
Also of note, Andres Guinaldo will be illustrating Nightwing #11 and #12, something Kyle Higgins made note of in his last interview. That's... eh. Barrows is apparently sick, so thankfully they're giving him a break. Hopefully he can put some full issues together consecutively when he gets back.
