I was going to try and make a joke about some Watchmen here, but nothing worked, so WHATEVER.

SPOILERS: Batgirl #52

How do you end a book that kind of already ended?

Rebirth: Legacy and Who's to Blame for the New 52

In one of the most meta-contextual things DC has put out in years, without Grant Morrison's involvement, hope returns to the DCU.

The final week before everything changes!

SPOILERS: Harley Quinn #28

God damn it Harley, why do you have to be good when I want to save time by writing about less books.

Batwoman and Detective Comics guest art

So, this is some interesting news. DC is reporting that as of issue #9, Trevor McCarthy (Batman: Gates of Gotham) will be drawing Batwoman up to issue #11, after which, JH Williams III comes back for #12. I like this move, McCarthy can really do some Williams type stuff with his layouts, so he's a good fit. Wonder what happened with Amy Reeder though.

But we're not done, if you read last week's Detective Comics, you might have noticed that Tony Daniel had some background assists with the issue. So, following the "Night of the Owls" issue (#9) artist Ed Benes will fill in for Daniel for issues #10-12. This is interesting due to the fact that if I remember correctly, Benes has had fill in pencils from Diego Bernard for a majority of the Red Lanterns issues… so who knows on that.

  1. Ye olde "creative differences" led to Reeder's departure (she posted on FB). Real shame.
